Recite a Prayer
Meaning: Recite a prayer upon waking, such as:

“Alhamdulillahil ladzi ahyana ba’da ma amatana wa ilaihin nusyur.”
Purpose: Expressing gratitude to Allah for being given life again after sleep (since sleep is considered a “temporary death”).

Wiping the Face
Meaning: Wiping the face after waking up.
Purpose: Helping refresh oneself and eliminating drowsiness.

Performing Ablution
Meaning: Performing ablution or performing ablution as before prayer.
Purpose: Purifying oneself, especially if you intend to immediately perform worship such as the night prayer.

Brushing Teeth
Meaning: Cleaning the mouth by brushing your teeth or using a miswak.
Purpose: Maintaining oral hygiene and freshness, which is also recommended before prayer.

Night Prayer
Meaning: Performing the tahajjud prayer or qiyamul lail prayer after waking up at night. The goal: To get closer to Allah, because night prayer is a highly recommended act of worship (sunnah sukakadah).
